Classification
We begin each years Training programme in November with
multiple choice exams sat as each Module is completed through to the following
July.
To be eligible to sit the exam, you must have passed the
previous classification, and you have to complete 25 hours
project work but this is all provided for you.
Marks are out of 25 for each exam paper, with Pass, Credit and
Distinction being awarded for the overall score.

FIRST CLASS CADET - to become a First Class Cadet there are 3
modules to pass, each containing 3 subjects - Airmanship, History of
Flight, Initial Expedition Training, Map Reading, the ATC, Drill, the
Rifle Communications and the RAF. |

LEADING CADET - at Leading Cadet you will further you knowledge in
three key areas - Basic Navigation, Airmanship 2 and Principles of
Flight. |

SENIOR CADET - You will have to complete two of the eight subjects
offered at Senior and Staff Cadet. These could be Satellite
Communication, Pilot or Air Navigation, Propulsion, Airframes, Operation
Flying, Radio & Radar or Aircraft Handling. |

STAFF CADET - This is a two part classification. The first
part is written exams on two more of the subjects listed above.
The second part is an oral exam or interview with a Wing Staff Officer
covering your knowledge of the Corps and your future role in the
Squadron once you have completed you exams. |
