OC receives Cadet Forces Medal

At a recent Norfolk and Suffolk Wing dinner Flight Lieutenant Darren Flitton, OC 759 Squadron, received his Cadet Forces Medal for "12 years long, meritorious and irreproachable service". The medal was presented by Air Commodore J A F Ford, RAF Rtd. Flight Lieutenant Flitton was appointed to the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer on No 759 (Beccles) Squadron in April 1993.

In May 1995, he was commissioned into the Training Branch of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve in the rank of Pilot Officer and in May 1997 was promoted to the rank of Flying Officer. In October 2000, he assumed command of No 759 (Beccles) Squadron and was promoted to the rank of Flight Lieutenant, a position and rank he continues to hold today.
